24/11/2008 - TRACS Programme

CTS Project - MacKillop College

For the fifth consecutive year, TRACS was once again a three day hit for year 10 during their last week of compulsory schooling. More than 30 guest presenters came to the college to provide the girls with a variety of life-style and career options.

Christine Le Fevre from Bishop's Court entertained the year group with an events management simulation as well as her career story. The girls were encouraged to 'have a go' and 'bounce back' if plans don't always meet expectations. Karen Pini's style, deportment and grooming sessions were once again an eye opener for the girls.

The highlight for most of the girls was attending the small group sessions with presenters from jobs that interested them. They had the chance to ask lots of questions relevant to their own possible career paths.

The sincerest of thanks is extended to all the presenters who freely gave up their time, to the supervising staff and the enthusiastic students who together made the program a worthwile experience.
