9/01/2008 - Year 9 School to Work Careers Programme
Orange Christian School - CST Project
This two day programme included Mock Interviews, visiting a variety of workplaces, a trip to Hungry Jacks, a tour of TAFE and guest speakers from Jeff Hort Engineering and the School House restaurant.
Some student feedback:
"It was a good experience. It opened or eyes. It showed us a good place to start our careers, and how to work in areas we want to specialise in" - Daniel
"The School to Work Programme is really fun because you get to go out of school and see new places but still learn at the same time" - Jess
"These two days were really good and fun! I learned a lot about different jobs and the workforce. I have a better understanding about it all now. The Mock Interview and feedback was good" - Claire
A huge thanks goes to the guest speakers, workplaces and businesses that made this possible, and to Central West NSW Youth Transition Services who ran our Mock Interviews and funded most of the programme.
