TRACS is a career transition program for the Year 10 students at MacKillop College, Bathurst

Year 10 enjoyed a very informative and comprehensive week with discussions from many different professions including doctors, bridal and evening wear design, police, vet nurse, journalist, psychologist, primary teachers, hairdressing and nurses.
Beginning the TRACS program the girls were give helpful advice about obtaining your drivers licence by Linda Densmore. Christine LeFevre also talked to the girls about owning a small business and interior designs which is her chosen profession. Christine also talked to the girls about pursuing a career in what they enjoy doing. She shared with the girls some of her life experiences as an interior designer and small business owner. The students also received helpful tips to managing their finance, loans and accessing bank accounts. At the end of day the students also enjoyed either an aerobics or pilates session.
The students enjoyed talks and a demonstration on the second day from Karen Pini giving helpful tips to personal development, modelling as well as interview preparation. A highlight was Karen Pini completing a students make-up whilst describing how to chose the make-up to suite your skin type and the importance of cleansing. The girls were also advised about their rights and responsibilities as a consumer by Carleen Cunningham from NSW Office of Fair Trading.
The third day gave the students the opportunity to talk to ex-students about managing their senior work-load with a social life and work responsibilities. The ex-students also gave helpful advice about managing stress levels and their personal experiences during their senior years at MacKillop.At the end of the TRACS program the students enjoyed a relaxing session as they completed a yoga and meditation program.
